Ray Boltz~ I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb

Published on Aug 1, 2012
I Pledge Allegiance To The Lamb

Words and music by Ray Boltz

CHORUS:
I pledge allegiance to the Lamb
With all my strength
With all I am
I will seek to honor His commands
I pledge allegiance to the Lamb

I have heard how Christians long ago
Were brought before a tyrants throne
They were told that he
Would spare their lives
If they would renounce
The name of Christ
But one by one they chose to die
The Son of God, they would not deny
Like a great angelic choir sings
I can almost hear their voices ring

CHORUS

Now the years have come
And the years have gone
And the cause of Jesus still goes on
Now our time has come
To count the cost
To reject this world
To embrace the Cross

And one by one let us live our lives
For the One who died to give us life
Till the trumpet sounds on the final day
Let us proudly stand and boldly say

CHORUS

To the Lamb of God who bore my pain
Who took my place
Who wore my shame
I will seek to honor His commands
I pledge allegiance to the Lamb

CHORUS (repeat)

Ray Boltz~ "The Anchor Holds"

Note: Not accepting any comments concerning Ray Boltz's lifestyle. This video was posted long before that revelation was made known in Sept 2008.

Please just comment on the song itself, thank you!

As 2006 came to a close I had selected "The Anchor Holds" as a song of encouragement to post for those of you going through the storms of life.

Please continue to enjoy as Ray Boltz sings "The Anchor Holds".

LYRICS:

I have journeyed
Through the long dark night
Out on the open sea
By faith alone
Sight unknown
and yet his eyes were watching me

CHORUS
The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
the anchor holds
Though the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

I've had visions
I've had dreams
I've even held them in my hand
but I never knew
They would slip right through
Like they were only grains of sand

CHORUS
I have been young
but I am older now
And there has been beauty these eyes have seen
but it was in the night
Through the storms of my life
Oh that's where God proved his love to me

Original Release Date of The Anchor Holds was August 29, 1995.
